I always wanted you, I confess

I never thought I would make a sad song list
I’m spending my days
Listening and dragging me across the floor of mercy
I always wanted to see you as soon as possible
I never thought butterflies in my stomach would become gastritis
I always believed in the chemistry of love
But I never thought that any mixture would become lethal acids
I’ve always added a bit of color to your life
But I never thought you would disappear from my mind

I remember you told me
But I will never understand this distance that petrifies our feelings
And make us statues from the past in both of our memories
I always thought of writing poems about “you will always be mine”
But I never thought I would write about overcoming and goodbye
